Well she steadily gained 1/2 ounce per day at each appointment and ped said she was happy with that. Dr said if she hasn't gained any weight at those appointments then we'd come up with a plan. What she did do was gave me come in for weight checks 4 days then a week after my initial appointment, as well as track diapers. My ped is awesome though and didn't once push formula, or being on a strict pumping/supplementing schedule. My daughter lost almost a pound after being discharged from the hospital and I felt exactly the same as you, was ready to give up then and there. I am in the same boat as far as weight percentile. How many wet/dirty diapers are they having? Have you seen a LC for a weighted feed? Anyone else need to vent as much as I've needed to? Again, I'm still on team boob, but this is just so hard. I then have to take the pumped milk and give it to him in a bottle in case the problem is that he can't get the milk out efficiently enough on his own. I have to sacrifice those fun moments and hand him over to my husband so I can pump. The 5th percentile! After how often he's been eating! So now I've got to spend those precious few moments I have between feedings, moments when he's awake and calm, pumping so I can make sure it's not a supply issue on my part. Then he had his one month check-up today and I was devastated to find out he's only in the 5th percentile for weight. I can't even measure how many minutes on and how many minutes off, because he's barely ever off! I've been letting him, as exhausting as it is, and ended up getting mastitis - doing all of this with a fever of 101 for two days was a nightmare.
